‘Once a Strawb always a Strawb’ it’s been that way since Dave Cousins gave me the opportunity to be recognised as a musician. Thank you Dave…
It was such a pleasure to meet you at the Strawbs 50th in Lakewood. My wife and I had come from Fort Worth, TX, for the weekend event. Richard Barone brought me down to meet you (R&R royalty) and everyone else – a highlight for me, a nerdy scientist. Dave meant so much to me, Him, you, The Strawbs, from boyhood to manhood to now in later life. When I found out the news, I had to close my office door and cry my eyes out until dry. I then notified my wife of the news, and she did the same as he and The Strawbs had fundamentally changed our lives and our marriage. We so many times ventured out of Texas to experience the Strawbs throughout the years. The poetry to music has been a guidebook that we can never turn our backs. With love, Jeff, Fort Woth, TX,
